A roadster version of the Toyota GT86 now seems certain as Toyota tease an open-topped roadster for Geneva with the FT-86 Concept. It took Toyota a long time to deliver the promise of an ‘affordable’ sports car, but the Toyota GT86 has delivered a proper driver’s car at a sensible price (and you can even have it as a Subaru BRZ if you choose). Nissan will launch 60 new products in the next five years, the company’s latest business plan reveals. And it'll need every new model it can lay its hands on, amid a profit warning and a 30 percent collapse in profits this year. The company certainly loves catchily titled grands projets; following hot on the heels of the Nissan Revival Plan, Nissan 180 and Value-Up, it’s now announced the Nissan GT 2012 plan – spelling out the company’s strategic aims for the next five years.
Cadillac won’t comment, but it’s all over the Web that General Motors’ luxury division will get a version of the seven-seat sport-utility known internally as Lambda--externally known as the Chevrolet Traverse, the Buick Enclave and the GMC Acadia. No word on the Cadillac’s engine, but the other variants are powered by a 3.6-liter V6 varying in horsepower from 281 hp to 288 hp. Lambdas sell well, with more than 70,000 sold so far this year.
